Windows AI Now Scans the Entire Display

Windows’ new AI capability can now view and analyze the entire content of your screen.

Microsoft is rolling out a new update for Copilot Vision, its AI-powered tool that can scan the full content of your display.

Previously, this feature was limited to viewing and relating two applications simultaneously. Now, however, it can analyze the entire desktop or any specific window from a browser or application.

Unlike the Recall feature, which automatically takes screenshots of your screen’s content, Copilot Vision works more like screen sharing during video calls. Users activate it by clicking the glasses icon in the Copilot app and selecting the desired desktop.

According to Microsoft, Copilot Vision can analyze visual content, provide feedback, and answer your questions — it may even offer voice guidance while you work. This tool can be especially helpful for enhancing creative projects, editing résumés, or navigating a new game.

Microsoft began initial testing of Copilot Vision last year, with a version that could examine visible web content while browsing with the Edge browser.
