Tesla’s CEO has announced that the advanced AI assistant Grok will soon be integrated into the company’s vehicles.
Elon Musk revealed that Grok, the AI assistant, will be arriving in Tesla cars next week. This announcement came just hours after the unveiling of the new Grok 4 model.
The current version of Grok had previously been temporarily removed from the X platform due to inappropriate behavior, including controversial statements and verbal attacks on politicians. The removal was intended to allow time to address these issues.
Musk typically shares Tesla-related news first on the social media platform X—sometimes even before the company’s engineering team is informed. For months, he has stated that Grok would be introduced as an in-car AI assistant, allowing users to interact with their vehicles conversationally and issue various commands.
A well-known Tesla firmware hacker, known by the username Green, discovered that Grok includes multiple “personalities” from which drivers can choose.
Grok will likely only be available in vehicles equipped with Tesla’s third-generation hardware or newer.
